Honda CBR250RR, the company’s latest quarter-litre supersport concept that was showcased at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show is one of the most anticipated motorcycles of this year. The Young Machine magazine of Japan has recently published a rendering of the bike with a look more from a race breed than that of a typical sports tourer.

The 250RR looks alluring in a red & white livery with some major noticeable changes in the design philosophy in comparison to the existing 250cc model.

The rendering prominently features the twin headlamp with the LED DRL which stood out on the Super Sports concept.

As seen in the pictures, the CBR250RR gets a new LED strip followed by a sharp, twin-headlamp unit below. While the concept displayed at the motor show was wrapped in carbon fibre, the one that will roll on production line is expected to drop it in order to favour the cost. Besides, inverted forks at the front and ABS-equipped bigger brakes will come as standard to offer a decent stopping power. Unlike the existing CBR250R, the new machine gets sharper lines and design cues to take the visuals to an all-new level.

Though the power figures and engine details are not available at the moment, we expect the bike to be more performance oriented, seeing the 14,000 rpm limit on the instrument cluster.

The CBR250RR was earlier reported to be planned for the market in four colours – red, white, black and orange.

Reportedly, the CBR250RR will come loaded with a 250cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor mated to a six-speed transmission. If some speculations are to be believed, the engine will also be equipped with ride-by-wire throttle and multiple riding modes that are rare in motorcycles that fall under this segment.

A report earlier this year stated that the Honda CBR250RR would makes its debut in Indonesia in October.
