Prices increased by up to 3 percent.
Volvo Auto India has released a revised price list of its product range, in which the ex-showroom prices of most models have increased by up to 3 percent. The revised pricing is effective since April 1, 2016.
While most products cost more, Volvo has reduced prices of models like the V40 Cross Country D3 Inscription (by INR 3.04 lakhs), S60 Kinetic (INR 1.51 lakhs) and S60 Momentum (INR 24,000). The reason is attributed to enhanced scale and efficiency at its production locations.
As for other models, the top end Volvo XC90 witnesses the steepest increase - it now starts from INR 80.23 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), which is nearly INR 2.33 lakhs more expensive. Note that the Volvo XC90 is the only luxury full-size SUV unaffected by the Delhi diesel ban, thanks to its 1,969 cc twin turbo diesel engine.
All Volvo products are imported into the country via the CBU route. Volvo's next major launch will be the Volvo S90 later this year.
