2.2-liter diesel engine produces 201 hp and 500 Nm.
Mercedes-Benz India has launched a new C Class variant today - the Mercedes C 250d. Priced from INR 44.36 Lakhs (ex-showroom Pune), it is the most powerful diesel option available for the C Class in India.
The Mercedes C 250d is powered by the 2,143 cc four-cylinder diesel engine in the C 220d, but has been tuned to produce 201 hp and 500 Nm. The biggest change however is the inclusion of the 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox that was only available in the Mercedes GLE and the Mercedes S Class Maybach.
The C 250d is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, which is almost a second faster than the C 220d. It continues accelerating up to a limited top speed of 247 km/h.
