The Super Carry will also get a CNG variant powered by the Eeco's 1.2L engine.

Maruti's first LCV will be powered by Suzuki's self-developed diesel engine, which currently does duty on the Maruti Celerio DDiS. The twin-cylinder 0.8-liter engine develops 47 PS and 125 Nm of torque on the Celerio and delivers an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 27.62 km/l.

It remains to be seen if this engine is tuned specifically for the Super Carry, which is expected to sport a 1- and 1.5-tonne payload. Aside from the diesel variant, reports also point out that the Super Carry will be introduced in a CNG trim, borrowing the 1.2-liter engine from the Maruti Eeco.
