Will sit under the Jeep Renegade.
Jeep is working on an entry-level product that targets the A-Segment utility vehicles in emerging markets. Reportedly named "Jeep Junior", it will sit under the Jeep Renegade, and enable more people to enter the Jeep brand.
New reports suggest that it will be based on FCA's X6H platform that will also underpin the next gen Fiat Punto. It will pack a 1.8 four cylinder E.torQ engine from the Fiat Toro, which delivers 138 hp at 5,750 rpm and 189 Nm at 3,750 rpm, while a smaller 1.3 16V GSE turbo engine with flex fuel support is under development.
There will be two transmission options: a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. It's likely that Jeep will offer an AWD system as optional for top-end grades.

The exterior styling could adopt the iconic boxy styling that is seen in the Renegade and Wrangler, and will be sized similar to a Suzuki Jimny. It is expected to go official in late-2017.
