The Thai-spec BR-V is powered by an E85-compatible version of the 1.5-liter SOHC, four-cylinder i-VTEC engine which develops 117 hp at 6,000 rpm and 146 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm. The only transmission option is a CVT gearbox for both grades.
Safety features in the Thai-spec BR-V include ABS, dual SRS airbags, EBD, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Hill Start Assist (HAS). On the outside, the BR-V gets projector headlights with LED position lights, LED taillights and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it features a Jazz-inspired dashboard with a large MID, and a touchscreen infotainment system.
As for the India-spec model, it is, reportedly, scheduled to launch towards the end of May 2016. It will be the first compact crossover from Honda in India, and will compete with the likes of the recently launched Renault Duster facelift and the Hyundai Creta.
