At the 2016 Bangkok International Motor Show, Chevrolet has announced a rugged, off-road sport ready 'Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme'. The Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme is given its unique appeal with features like a dramatic engine hood scoop, skid plates on the sports bar and safari bar and 18-inch full-mud terrain tyres.
Inside, the Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme is equipped with new auxiliary gauges and accessories such as a passenger grab handle on the side of the instrument panel, an inclinometer that shows the angle of inclination and the MyLink infotainment system with an 8-inch colour touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility.
Unfortunately, the Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme is only a concept. However, it seems to be a near-production one, and it wouldn't be a surprise if Chevrolet launched it in Thailand either as a special edition or made its parts available as optional accessories in the future.
Commenting on the Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme and the Chevrolet Trailblazer Premier which was also unveiled at the show, GM Thailand and Chevrolet Sales Thailand Managing Director Marcos Purty said: "These show vehicles were created to inject excitement and passion into the critical pickup truck and SUV segments, and reinforce Chevrolet’s commitment to the Thai market.”
