Ashwin Ram N P, Ashwin is a guy with a slightly unorthodox perception of everything. His struggle to choose a career path, between art and automotive engineering, has landed him in the field of auto journalism, where he has paved way for himself to practise both.
Has registered 3,000 bookings already.
Sumeet Narang, Senior Vice President (Marketing – Motorcycles) at Bajaj Auto, told the media during the launch of the Bajaj V in Kolkata – “We should be able to sell close to 50,000 units of this bike nationally in the next 12-18 months.”
In a few weeks after its introduction the Bajaj V garnered over 3,000 bookings. Some dealerships have a demo vehicle and some are offering test rides. According to reports, the bike would reach customers from March 23.
The Bajaj V will compete with products such as the Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0, Honda Unicorn 150 that has returned to the market and the Hero Hunk. Priced at INR 62,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) the Bajaj V slots between the Discover 150 and the Pulsar 150 by a near-even margin and the Avenger 150 continues to be the flagship 150 cc offering by Bajaj.
