Sumeet Narang, Senior Vice President (Marketing - Motorcycles) at Bajaj Auto, told the media during the launch of the Bajaj V in Kolkata - "We should be able to sell close to 50,000 units of this bike nationally in the next 12-18 months."
In a few weeks after its introduction the Bajaj V garnered over 3,000 bookings. Some dealerships have a demo vehicle and some are offering test rides. According to reports, the bike would reach customers from March 23.

The Bajaj V will compete with products such as the Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0, Honda Unicorn 150 that has returned to the market and the Hero Hunk. Priced at INR 62,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) the Bajaj V slots between the Discover 150 and the Pulsar 150 by a near-even margin and the Avenger 150 continues to be the flagship 150 cc offering by Bajaj.
