Here are 5 things we know about the Bajaj Pulsar 150NS which is keenly anticipated in the Indian market -

1. Colombia was the launch market:

Bajaj Pulsar 150NS Colombia

The first ever market to get the Bajaj Pulsar 150NS is Colombia, where it is priced at 6,490,000 Colombian Pesos (INR 1.42 lakhs). It is to be noted that the Pulsar 150NS is manufactured in India and exported in CKD (or SKD depending on the export market) form.

2. Powertrain:

The Pulsar 150NS and the AS150 make identical power output.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150NS is powered by the 149.5 cc single-cylinder, twin-spark, four-valve engine that is also used on the Pulsar AS150. Like in the AS150, this motor develops 17 hp, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

3. Suspension:

The Bajaj Pulsar 150NS rides on the same Nitrox mono suspension and telescopic front suspension with anti-friction bush as the Pulsar AS150 and Pulsar 200NS. In all likelihood, its based on the same Pressed Steel Perimeter Frame chassis as the Pulsar 200NS.

4. Features borrowed from the 200NS:

The Pulsar 200NS (pictured) influences the design and feature list of the 150NS.

Aside from the design, the Pulsar 150NS also borrows its feature kit from its larger sibling, the 200NS. The star-shaped black alloy wheels, the machined aluminium bits for the footpegs, the split seat layout and the part-digital instrument cluster are borrowed from the 'original' naked sport offering.

5. Indian launch:

The Bajaj Pulsar CS400 is expected to be the next Pulsar launch from the company.

While the Pulsar 150NS is expected to launch in India, officials of Bajaj Auto refuse to put a timeline to its launch. Reports suggest that a market launch may take place this calendar year, though prior to the launch of the 150NS, Bajaj would be introducing the most powerful Pulsar ever in the form of the Pulsar CS400.
