Deliveries reportedly promised from around May 2016.
Following its unveil at the Auto Expo 2016, dealers have divulged to IAB that bookings are now being accepted for the Toyota Innova Crysta (second generation Toyota Innova) at a minimum deposit of INR 50,000.
When reached for comment, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said that bookings were not open officially.
The Innova Crysta will be one of the most feature-packed MPVs in the market, when it launches this year. It measures 4,735 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,795 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Compared to the first gen Innova, it has grown by 150 mm in length, 70 mm in width and 35 mm in height, although the wheelbase is identical. Exterior features include LED headlamps, 17 inch alloy wheels, chrome window lining, and a bold twin slat grille with hexagonal intake.
Inside, the new Innova Crysta steps up the premium quotient with a host of new features such as smart entry system with start/stop button, auto-close for tailgate, airbags as standard along with ABS, EBD and BA, automatic climate control with rear cooler, 7-inch audio system with navigation, cruise control, powered driver’s seat, front seat with easy slide from rear, 1-touch tumble for 2nd row seats and 1-touch third row space up seats.

TKM is yet to confirm the engine lineup of Toyota Innova Crysta. The Indonesian-spec Toyota Innova is available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 139 PS and 183 Nm of torque and a 2.4-liter GD diesel engine producing 149 PS and 342 Nm of torque with the 5-speed manual transmission or 360 Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission.
The bigger 2.8-liter GD diesel variant with 177 PS cannot be ruled out either, as it was spotted for the first time on the Innova at the Auto Expo.
