Europe to be second major export market for Maruti-Suzuki Baleno.
France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark and Spain are the European markets that will get the Baleno this year. In Italy, Suzuki launched a limited edition Baleno Web S (online pre-order only) which is priced from 15,900 Euros (INR 11.55 lakhs). The Baleno will launch in the U.K. in April 2016.
The Euro-spec Suzuki Baleno’s engine lineup comprises of an India-made 1.0-liter Boosterjet engine which develops 110 hp and 170 Nm, along with a 1.2-liter Dualjet engine with SHVS technology. Power is transferred via a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
The Baleno will be exported to over 100 markets worldwide during its lifecycle. With India being the production hub for the Baleno as well as home to the compact Maruti Vitara Brezza, MSIL will play a significant role in the growth of the Japanese manufacturer in markets across the globe.
