Will be previewed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show tomorrow.
Auto Express reports that the next generation VW Polo range will also include an SUV, which will be previewed as a concept at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
The report states that the VW Polo SUV will be based on the new MQB A0 platform that will underpin the next generation Polo, and the not on the current PQ25. It will have the same wheelbase as the hatchback, but feature a more dynamic design. The report's source hints that people may recognize the grille, but it will be a very exciting design overall.
Under the hood, the VW Polo SUV could pack a turbocharged 1.0-liter three cylinder engine, which produces around 109 bhp. Transmission options will include a manual and dual clutch DSG units. With the new MQB-derived platform, the Polo SUV could also offer an AWD system and an electric variant.

The Polo SUV could be introduced shortly after the sixth generation VW Polo, which is expected to arrive in 2018. As for the Indian market, VW could localize the MQB A0 platform for the next gen VW Polo, which opens up the possibility of a compact SUV smaller than the VW Tiguan on the same base.
