VW India today announced that it will showcase three all-new products at the Auto Expo 2016, scheduled to take place in the first week of February 2016.
The highlight of VW India's stall will be the India Compact Sedan (ICS), which is reported to be called the VW Ameo when launched. The sub-4 meter sedan based on the Polo's platform will be powered by the 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine and the 1.5-liter four-cylinder TDI unit.
VW India will showcase the all-new 2016 VW Tiguan at the show, ahead of a market launch expected sometime in 2016. The new Tiguan made its premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015, and is based on the MQB platform. It is larger in overall size (70 mm longer, 30.5 mm wider, and 76 mm longer in wheelbase) and offers features like an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system, three-zone automatic AC, 7 airbags, 4MOTION all-wheel drive, and a panoramic sunroof.

The third highlight exhibit will be the all-new Passat GTE powered by a 1.4-liter TSI engine paired to an electric motor. With a combined power output of 218 PS, the GTE can cover 50 km using electricity alone, and has an overall range of 1,000 km. The Passat GTE will offer a preview to the new Passat which will soon be launched in India, the carmaker confirmed.
