Bookings to open at Auto Expo.
UM Motorcycles has formally announced its plan to introduce three models at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida on February 3. The said models are UM Renegade Commando, UM Renegade Sport S and UM Renegade Classic.
The brand that has partnered with Lohia Auto to locally assemble its products at the latter's Kashipur facility in Uttarakhand with around 50 percent local content, is headquartered in New Delhi and has started appointing dealerships in top tier cities. Down the line, the company plans to expand its presence in tier-two and tier-three cities.

All three models share the same 279 cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine that produces 25 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed synchromesh gearbox. The UM Renegade Commando and the UM Renegade Sport S get electric start while the Renegade Classic is not expected to. The models have a fuel tank capacity of 18 litres and a kerb weight of 172 kg (with 90 percent fuel).
