Expected to showcase the production model at February’s Auto Expo.
The production-spec Tata Nexon (code: Tata Osprey) was spotted testing with heavy camouflage again, as seen in spyshots from Motoroids reader Chirantan Naik. The company is expected to showcase a production-ready version at next month's Auto Expo 2016.
The production-spec Tata Nexon will draw heavy influence from the Nexon concept, which was revealed at the 2014 Auto Expo. The design of the rear windows, with a tapering quarter-glass panel appears identical to the concept. The crossover will measure 3995 mm long, and reports have stated that it could be offered with a 5+2 seating arrangement. If the claim is accurate, the Nexon will get small jump seats at the rear, like in the Mahindra TUV300 or Quanto.

The Nexon will be based on a modified Tata X1 platform that underpins the Bolt and Zest. The Engine lineup is rumored to include the 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced MultiJet engine paired to manual or automated manual transmissions. The petrol variant could pack the turbocharged version of the all-new aluminum 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron engine that debuted in the Zica hatchback.
