Will feature a thoroughly revised exterior.
Overdrive has uploaded a trio of spyshots of the Mahindra Quanto facelift testing near Mumbai, featuring the final production-spec body completely covered up. Web reports say it could be called the Mahindra Canto, Mahindra Cresto, or take on an alphanumeric branding.
As seen in IAB's render as well as several other spyshots, the Quanto facelift will adopt a design that draws inspiration from the Mahindra Scorpio, with new headlights and daytime running lights, revised grille, a hood scoop, re-profiled front bumper and new taillamps.
The interior is finished in beige, comes with a newer multifunction steering wheel, black center console, an armrest and new dials for the instrument cluster.
As for engine power, Mahindra could replace the 1.5-liter mCR100 diesel engine with the more fuel efficient mHawk80 diesel engine found in the TUV300. In its boxy cousin, the mHawk 80 engine develops 84 hp and 230 Nm of torque. The Quanto facelift will offer a 5-speed manual and the autoSHIFT 5-speed AMT.
