Could be unveiled at Auto Expo 2016.
Courtesy of IAB reader Siddharth Jain, new spyshots of the Mahindra Quanto facelift (rumored to be called Mahindra Canto and Mahindra Cresto) show a pre-production prototype with lesser camouflage, that was spotted testing in a snow-clad region.
The spyshots reveal finer details of the styling, which will be thoroughly different from the Xylo-inspired outgoing model. Its design will draw inspiration from the Mahindra Scorpio, featuring new headlights and daytime running lights, revised grille, a hood scoop, re-profiled front bumper and new taillamps.
Older spyshots have revealed a beige-finished interior with a new multifunction steering wheel, black center console, an armrest and new dials for the instrument cluster.

As for engine power, Mahindra could replace the 1.5-liter mCR100 diesel engine with the more fuel efficient mHawk80 diesel engine sourced from the TUV300. In its boxy cousin, the mHawk 80 engine develops 84 hp and 230 Nm of torque. The Quanto facelift will offer a 5-speed manual and the autoSHIFT 5-speed AMT. The technology has already been confirmed for the production Quanto.
The Mahindra Quanto facelift is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 on February 3. Its launch will round up the company’s product launches for this financial year.
