Could be priced around INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
CarBlogIndia claims that the TVS Apache 200 is likely to be launched on January 20 or in February. The publication cites sources for its report. Previous reports indicated that the new Apache would be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016.
The Apache 200 is expected to feature a single-cylinder air-cooled 200 cc engine with an SOHC and an oil-cooler that could produce around 28 PS of maximum power and over 20 Nm of peak torque. The motor could be offered with a six-speed gearbox. The cooling system of this engine is reported to be inspired by the same as BMW Motorrad's GS models.
The notable features expected on the TVS Apache 200 include a single halogen headlamp, an LED taillamp, a fully-digital instrument console, a regular fork, a monoshock on swingarm, a muscular fuel tank inspired by the TVS Draken X21 concept, split seats, disc brake on both wheels, an octagonal exhaust can with twin outlets, and Draken-inspired alloy wheels.
