Piano-black, Orange and Red color schemes to be on offer.
Prospective buyers of the Tata Zica can look forward to customizing their cars at Tata dealerships, Mr. Pratap Bose, Head of design for Tata Motors told Indian Autos Blog. The car maker plans to offer dealer-level customization packages primarily focussing on the interior of the small car.
"We had customization in mind while designing the interior of the Zica", Mr. Bose said when asked about the packages on offer. "Parts like the surrounds for the AC vents, center console, gear lever, steering wheel and interior door handles will be open for customization. You see that some of the test drive cars feature these parts in a piano-black finish or in an Orange color, additionally there's also a Red color that will be available for customers. They can choose these customizations at the dealerships itself", he said.
According to Mr. Bose, even the base variant of the Zica will get a piano-black finished center console for a premium look. These particular parts have been designed to be switchable, as buyers are increasingly looking at personalizing their vehicles.

A huge chunk of buyers opt to fit accessories such as seat covers on their new vehicles which is one of the reasons why the Zica does not get front seat-back pockets. "The aftermarket seat covers anyway offer these map pockets, so there's no point really for us, the manufacturer, to design them. It also saves us a few bucks from the cost perspective", a Tata Motors official was quoted saying.
