Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will launch the Honda CB Hornet 160R today, rounding up its ’15 launches in 2015′ plan. Dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the CB Hornet 160R, which had its reveal in early-August at the Honda RevFest event.
The CB Hornet 160R is expected to be a premium alternative to the Unicorn 160, which was launched earlier this year. Competing with the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ-S FI, the CB Hornet 160R is expected to replace the CB Trigger in Honda’s Indian lineup.
Powering the CB Hornet 160R will be Honda’s 162.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. This unit develops 14.5 bhp and 14.61 Nm of torque on the Unicorn 160, though it is expected to be offered in a different state of tune on the Hornet. The gearbox though would be a 5-speed unit.
Moving towards four-wheelers, premium car maker Audi will launch the 2016 Q7 in New Delhi today. The second generation Q7, which had its public premiere at the Detroit Motor Show this year, will initially come through the CBU route.
Powering the new Q7 will be the 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine, badged ’45TDI’. It is expected to produce 245 hp and 600 Nm of torque, and will be offered with an 8-speed transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system as standard. The new Q7 also loses a considerable 325 kg thanks to the MLB platform.
