To get ABS.
Bike Advice reports that the Benelli Tornado 302 is slated for launch in India around June 2016, and that the motorcycle will be offered with ABS either as a standard feature or on a second variant. This information is based on the publication's interview with the Chairman of DSK Motowheels, Shirish Kulkarni.
Unveiled at the EICMA 2015 last month, the Tornado 302 is the fully faired version of the TNT 300/302 that is already being sold in India. It is the second fully faired motorcycle in Benelli's history after the Tornado 1130. It has a length of 2,157 mm, a width of 746 mm, a height of 1,146 mm, a wheelbase of 1,410 mm, a ground clearance of 180 mm, a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres and an engine oil reservoir capacity of 4 litres.
The Tornado 302 is powered by the same engine as on the TNT 300/302, which is a 300 cc liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine with DOHC and four valves, but it is tuned to produce a higher output, of 35.35 PS at 12,000 rpm and 27 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The naked model gets an output of 28.14 PS at 11,500 rpm and 26.5 Nm at 10,000 rpm. Both the motorcycles feature a six-speed gearbox.
