Available in 12 variants.
The 2016 Toyota Innova is reported to have received 5,780 bookings in two weeks after its launch in Indonesia. This information was revealed to Auto Bild Indonesia by Widyawati Soedigdo, the Deputy Director of PT Toyota Astra Motor.
Soedigdo also revealed that 55 percent of the orders were diesel variants, which is not the usual case of the MPV in Indonesia. The change in preference to the diesel version of the Innova over the petrol model is reported to be caused by the new GD engine which is said to be more refined and powerful compared to the previous KD engine.
The new generation Innova is offered in 12 variants with an even split of petrol and diesel trims. The former is powered by the 2.0-litre VVT-i petrol engine and the latter uses the all-new 2.4-litre GD diesel motor. Both these engines are equipped with the VNT (Variable Nozzle Turbo) technology, and get two transmission options - a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
