It rides on Volkswagen’s MQB platform, and has an 80 mm longer wheelbase and 85 kg lighter kerb weight than the outgoing model. Its boot volume of 625 litres is the best in segment (which is an increase of 30 litres from the outgoing model). With the rear seats folded, the boot space can be expanded upto 1,760 litres.
