Audi India has launched the second generation 2016 Audi Q7 in Delhi today. Prices start from INR 72 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Q7 45 TDI premium plus variant and INR 77.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Technology variant. It will be brought to the country via the CBU route.
The only engine option available to customers is a 3.0-liter TDI unit in the 45 TDI variant, which produces 18 3kW (245.40 hp) and 600 Nm of peak torque between 1,500 to 3,000 rpm. Paired to an 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox, power is sent to all wheels via Audi's Quattro AWD system.
The new Q7 comes equipped with the latest MMI infotainment system navigated via MMI Touch, Audi sound system, Audi music interface with two USB ports and a Bluetooth interface, and a 12.3-inch 1440×540 pixel Audi Virtual Cockpit screen. Exterior features include Matrix LED headlamps, singleframe Audi grille, LED taillamps, power-operated taillgate and 20-inch alloy rims
The Audi Q7 will continue to rival luxury 7 seaters such as the Volvo XC90, BMW X5, Mercedes GL and Land Rover Discovery. It is expected to enter local assembly next year.
