Several examples of the 2016 Toyota Innova have been spotted on a vehicle carrier, suggesting that the company has started dispatching the model to dealers across Indonesia. Reports speculate that the new Innova will finally go on sale from November 23.
Images show the various colors the the 2016 Innova will be available with, which include white, black and few shades of gray. As seen in the teaser and press images, the 2016 Innova features an all new design that doesn't look anything like the model it replaces. It will offer LED projector headlamps, large hexagonal grille, new taillamp design and alloy wheels as standard.
It measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,795 mm in height and 2,750 mm in wheelbase, which is 180 mm longer, 60 mm wider, 45 mm higher than the outgoing model, while the wheelbase remains identical.
Engine options for the 2016 Innova include a 2.0-liter VVT-i petrol that produces 139 PS at 5,600 rpm and 18.7 kgm of torque at 4,700 rpm, and the all new 2.4-liter GD diesel engine from the 2016 Hilux, which generates 149 PS at 3,400 rpm and 36.7 kgm of torque in the 6-speed AT variant and 34.9 kgm of torque on the 5-speed MT variant.
