Expected in India in mid-2016.
Honda has released an image of the Honda BR-V in an 'Urban Titanium' (Modern Steel Metallic) shade parked outdoors, giving a good look at what the crossover appears like without the motorshow glamour.
Unveiled in August at the GIIAS and IIMS shows in Indonesia, production of the BR-V will start in Karawang, Indonesia, in early-2016. HPM (Honda Prospect Motor), the Indonesian subsidiary of Honda, is currently conducting road shows of the BR-V for prospective customers.
For the Indonesian market, the BR-V will be powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine capable of 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. It will be paired to a CVT or a new 6-speed manual transmission. The BR-V is expected to be offered in three variants - S, E and Prestige - with prices starting from Rp. 230 million and extending till Rp. 265 million (INR 10.83 lakhs and INR 12.48 lakhs).
Inside, designers have fettled around to give the BR-V a more upmarket interior in comparison to the Mobilio. The BR-V prototype featured a City-derived cabin with a touchscreen entertainment system and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.
