Fiat Abarth Punto snapped in both colors - Spied

The Fiat Abarth Punto was snapped in both colors recently, ahead of its launch reported to take place on October 19. Bookings have started at FCA India dealerships for INR 50,000.

Fiat Abarth Punto rear in Black spied — The Abarth Punto is claimed to need only 8.8 seconds for the dash to 100 km/h.

The Abarth Punto will be powered by a 1.4-liter T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine capable of 145 hp and 212 Nm. Paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the hot-hatch claims to accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds, and does the 0-1000 m run in 30.4 seconds. Fiat claims a fuel efficiency of 16.3 km/l.

Fiat will offer the Abarth Punto in two colors - Black and White. Both colors get contrast wing mirror caps, body decals, a racing stripe and 16-inch 'Scorpion' alloy wheels. They also have their ride heights lowered to 155 mm, and get disc brakes on all wheels.

Reports estimate the Abarth Punto to be priced below INR 10 lakhs, ex-Showroom. When launched, the VW Polo GT TSI and the Ford Figo 1.5 Ti-VCT will be the closest competitors (performance wise).
