The Avanti measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,965 mm in width, 1,200 mm in height and has a ground clearance of 155 mm, which is quite high for a sports car (tuned for Indian road conditions).
Powering the Avanti is a Renault-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine producing a peak power output of 248 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox, and is capable of doing 0-100 km/h in under 8 seconds.
The DC Avanti is the second-least expensive car in India that has the engine mounted behind the driver, with the first being the Tata Nano. So far, DC have confirmed receiving 762 bookings till April 2015.
