Ashwin Ram N P, Ashwin is a guy with a slightly unorthodox perception of everything. His struggle to choose a career path, between art and automotive engineering, has landed him in the field of auto journalism, where he has paved way for himself to practise both.
Its world premiere is reported in November.
While the 2016 Toyota Innova is reported to get a new range-topping variant ‘Q’, two of the existing variants, ‘E’ and ‘J’ are reported to be under the axe for the Indonesian market, as per Kompas Otomotif.
The existing version of the Innova is sold in Indonesia in four variants – G, V, E and J, in the price range of IDR 233.65 million (INR 11.23 lakhs) to IDR 344 million (INR 16.54 lakhs). The 2016 Innova may hence launch in three variants – G, V and Q.
The new ‘Q’ variant is expected to make the Innova a further upmarket vehicle. It is believed to be equipped with captain chairs on second row, which is available as an option in the current generation Innova in India. Similar luxury features such as leather seat upholstery and DVD player may be offered in the Innova Q.
In addition to the new engines, equipment and variant walk, the 2016 Innova is reported to have two driving modes, Sport (Power) and Eco, on the automatic variant. These modes are on offer on the 2016 Hilux and the 2016 Fortuner.
