Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Ashik, spotted the soon-to-launch Renault Kwid at a dealer yard in South India recently. Judging from the exterior embellishments, the spied Kwids - Silver and Bronze - are likely mid- and top-end variants.
The Kwid in Silver is seen with features such as body coloured front and rear bumpers, foglamps and wheel caps while the Kwid in Bronze gets wing mirrors with bulgy mirror caps, and what appears to be body coloured door handles, suggesting it to be the range-topping version.
The 3.68 metre long hatchback will be manufactured at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Oragadam, Chennai. The Kwid has a localisation level of 98 percent, hinting an aggressive pricetag in the range of INR 3-4 lakhs.
