Likely to come with Renault's EDC technology.
AutoX has spyshots of the Renault Duster facelift, which is expected to launch in India later this year. Interestingly, a spyshot of the interior hides the gearlever, which has fueled speculations of Renault testing an automatic transmission variant of the crossover.
The Duster's main rivals, the Hyundai Creta and the Mahindra Scorpio are available with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and it was only a matter of time before Renault India offered something similar. The report states that the Duster facelift will come with Renault's EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch transmission), which is a 6-speed unit, paired to the 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine in its 110 PS tune.
Changes on the outside will extend to new headlights with LED daytime running lights, a new chrome grille, revised bumpers and new alloy wheels. Inside, the Duster facelift will see minor changes to its trim and upholstery. As Renault India introduced a new 3-spoke steering wheel on the 2015 model year update, alongside minor changes to the instrument cluster, these parts and components are unlikely to be altered.
