Has a pseudo-crossover styling.
The Mahindra S101 has been spotted testing in Lonavala, as seen in spyshots from IAB reader, Parikshit Deshpande. It is Mahindra's second all new product, first being the sub-4m Mahindra TUV300 (U301).
The S101 (codename) is the second monocoque vehicle from Mahindra, and is under 4 meters in overall length. It adopts a pseudo crossover styling similar to the likes of the smaller Renault Kwid, with a high ground clearance and roof rails. The rear end gets horizontal wraparound taillamps, a rear wiper, roof spoiler, and a pair of reflectors in the lower fascia.
Under the hood, the S101 will offer a new range of petrol and diesel engines displacing 1.2-liters from three-cylinder blocks, which will be the smallest range of engines offered by the company. Co-developed by Ssangyong, the engines are part of a new family, and will be paired to either a manual gearbox or an AMT unit.
