To launch early next year.
Ford India has listed the upcoming Ford Endeavour SUV in its official website, further acknowledging its arrival in the Indian market. It will be previewed to the public by the end of this year, before arriving in showrooms early next year, as told to IAB by Ford India's President and MD, Nigel Harris.
The company has already imported prototypes of the new Endeavour for testing and homologation purposes. Like the outgoing model, the new Endeavour SUV will continue to be assembled at Ford's Chennai plant, with Thai-made CKD kits.
Under the hood, Ford is expected to offer two diesel engines: a 2.2-liter TDCi four-cylinder diesel and 3.2-liter five-cylinder TDCi diesel engine. The latter engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
