Expected to debut in early September.
Spyshots of the Chinese-spec 2016 Hyundai Tucson's interior have surfaced online, which reveal a design largely identical to the European model.
The interior follows a dark color combination, with silver trim around the HVAC vents and the steering wheel. The Chinese-spec Hyundai Tucson will pack features such as LED headlamps, Lane Keep Assist system, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with a reverse parking camera, automatic wipers, rear cross traffic alert, front parking sensors, autonomous emergency braking, heated rear seats and blind spot detection.
The exterior of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson for China was previewed by a near-production concept at the Auto Shanghai 2015, which featured re-worked bumpers, grilles and taillight clusters. However, the basic exterior design will remain similar to the Euro-spec model, as seen in previous spyshots.
The new report states that the 2016 Hyundai Tucson will come with a choice between a normally aspirated 2.0-liter engine and a turbocharged 1.6-liter GDI engine. The former produces 165 hp, while the latter is capable of 176 hp. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual transmission in entry-level trims, or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). An AWD system could also be offered for the range-topping trim.
