Launch in September.
The facelifted 2016 Hyundai HB20 has been caught undisguised at a shooting for its commercial, courtesy of Autos segredos reader, Fábio Santos. As expected, the upcoming model draws design cues from the HB20 R-Spec Concept revealed in October 2014.
The facelifted model gets a bigger hexagonal grille with chrome surrounds, an updated lower front bumper with round fog lamps, and re-designed headlight clusters. Although the rear end is not revealed yet, it is expected to feature new taillight clusters and a re-profiled bumper.
The only mechanical change reported so far is a new 6-speed automatic transmission that replaces the 4-speed unit offered with the 1.6-liter flex-fuel engine, which produces 128 hp and 161.6 Nm of torque. The lower variants are likely to continue sourcing power from a 1.0-liter flex fuel engine producing 80 hp and 100 Nm of torque through a 5-speed manual gearbox.
