Cosmetic changes are expected to be market specific.

According to a report on Motoring World, Renault India plans on launching the Duster facelift along with an automatic transmission later this year. The publication reveals that the French car maker will introduce an India-specific facelift, and not the Euro-spec facelift which was revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Duster facelift for the Indian market, according to the report, will resemble the Duster Adventure Edition closely, with smoked wheels, redesigned body cladding with additional lights and silver skid plates for the front and rear. The highlight on the Duster facelift will be the addition of an automatic transmission variant.

The report states that Renault will offer its 6-speed dual clutch transmission, called the EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) on the 2WD diesel variant of the Duster. The Duster AT will rival the recently-launched Creta AT, which gets a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission, and the soon-to-launch Mahindra Scorpio AT.

Other mechanicals of the Duster are expected to continue unchanged. The Indian market sees the crossover powered by a 1.6-liter petrol engine and a 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine offered in two states of tunes. The 1.5-liter diesel can also be paired with a 4WD system, while its closest rival, the Creta comes only with front-wheel drive.
