No changes to the design or engine.
Toyota of Brazil have rolled out a minor model year update for the Etios series of cars (Etios hatch, Etios Cross and the Etios sedan).
To address tech savvy buyers who demand navigation, Bluetooth music streaming and external media support, Toyota have now included a 7-inch touchscreen MirrorLink system on the 2016 Toyota Etios range. By connecting one's smartphone to the system, the LCD display of the MirrorLink system mirrors the smartphone's screen, and gives owners access to navigation and music streaming, apart from contacts and messages.
The system currently supports only Android devices, though an update will allow it to be compatible for Apple devices as well.
There are no other changes to the exterior or interior of the sedan and hatchback/cross. All variants of the Etios offer dual front airbags, ABS and EBD in the Brazilian market, while in India TKM (Toyota Kirloskar Motor) standardized dual front airbags from October 2014 on the Etios range.

The Etios for Brazil is manufactured at Toyota's Sorocaba plant in the country, which also exports the product within South America. In South America, the Etios hatch offers a 1.3- or a 1.5-liter Flex-fuel gasoline engine, while the Cross and sedan are available only with the more powerful 1.5-liter engine.
