The next generation 2016 BMW X1, spyshots show, will spawn a long wheelbase model exclusive to China.

Given the preference for long wheelbase models in China, the BMW X1 could also be available with a LWB variant, which is, according to older reports, 11 centimeters longer than the standard wheelbase model. Both models will be manufactured at the JV’s plant in Shenyang.

Inside, it will feature a freestanding LCD Control Display running BMW’s latest iDrive infotainment system, a Head-up Display, and an instrument cluster with a display underneath. BMW has also improved the build quality and color options for the interior as well.
