Better distinction between the standard Avanza and the Veloz.
Autonetmagz has the first clear images of the 2015 Toyota Avanza Veloz (facelift) which is expected to launch at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show 2015 (GIIAS) on August 20, 2015.
The front fascia gets a massive redesign with new headlight clusters (seemingly inspired by the Vios) and a new chrome grille which reminds one of the new Toyota Corolla Hybrid's grille. The bumper also sees a redesign with a new space provided for the registration plate enclosure.
It is evident that Toyota designers are trying to give the Avanza and the Avanza Veloz different identities with their mid-life facelifts. One of the reasons is that the current models look very similar, and thus make it difficult to justify the 30 million IDR (INR 1.42 lakhs) price premium the Veloz commands over the Avanza.
Further changes are expected to the rear and interior of the Veloz as well, as the regular Avanza has already revealed its redesigned rear fascia in spyshots.
The Avanza Veloz facelift would continue with the 1.5-liter four-cylinder VVT-i petrol engine which produces 104 PS and 139 Nm of torque on the current model. Toyota offers this engine with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission, which is also expected to continue.

Features on the compact MPV include dual front airbags, ABS, a 2-DIN music system with AUX and USB and tilt-adjustable steering.
