GIIAS 2015 opens on August 20.
According to Indonesiautosblog, the facelifted Suzuki Ertiga could be revealed at the 2015 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) that opens on August 20. The facelifted model, as the Maruti Ertiga, had been spied during its development in India a few months ago. The facelifted model is believed to be a part of Maruti's 8 product launches for this year.
"There are about 27 or 28 cars that will be on display (at GIIAS 2015), including a new model," Davy J. Tulian, Deputy Managing Director PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, told the site, refusing to acknowledge if the Ertiga refresh is among them.
Judging by the spyshots of pre-production test mules, the 2015 Suzuki Eritga will have a new 3-slat chrome grille, smaller central intake, and revised fog lamp housings with chrome elements. It could also come with new alloy wheel designs and exterior paint colors.
The Ertiga will continue to source power from the 1.4-liter K-Series (K14B) VVT petrol engine, which produces 95 PS power and 130 Nm of peak torque in the current model. The engine is paired to a choice between a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. A 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission) was spotted in a development mule sparking rumours that Maruti/Suzuki could offer it at some stage. It's to be noted is that Suzuki has taken AMT tech to Indonesia, and the Wagon R became the first model this year to receive it.
