Mercedes will unveil the coupe version of the 2015 Mercedes C Class this year making it the third (if not final) body style added to the product range. It's expected to make a global debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show to be held in September.
IAB's rendering artist, Shoeb R Kalania, has come up with sketch of the C Class coupe, based on recent spyshots. While the front end appears to be borrowed from its 4-door brother, the changes begin from the coupe roofline that flows into the boot, new horizontal wrap-around LED-powered taillamps, sportier lower fascia and a dual exhaust system.
It will retain the C Class sedan's interior with features like the free-standing COMAND infotainment display paired to a Touchpad controller, 3-spoke multifunction sport steering wheel, ARTICO leather upholstery with contrast stitching, and gloss black center console.
The C Class Coupe rides on Mercedes' MRA platform, and will borrow the engine range from the C-Class sedan. It includes a spread of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, a 3.0-liter V6 engine in a normal as well as C 450 AMG Sport variants, and a full fledged C63 AMG Coupe powered by the 4.0L V8 (M178) twin turbo in two power states: 476 PS & 650 Nm in the base model and 510 PS & 700 Nm in the S version.
It’s unclear if the new C-Class Coupe will be equipped with the sedan’s 7G-TRONIC transmission or the GLC crossover’s 9G-Tronic (9-speed) automatic unit.

Mercedes-Benz will most likely reveal the regular and AMG Sport variants this year, before the range-topping C63 AMG breaks cover in 2016, reportedly. To rival the BMW M4 launched in the Indian market, Mercedes could either bring the C450 AMG Sport Coupe or C63 AMG Coupe.
