Update - HDMotori has posted spy images revealing the interior of the 2016 Fiat 500. The pictures tell us that the dashboard is left unchanged but for embedding of the UConnect infotainment system with a 5-inch display, between the HVAC vents.
June 18, 2015 -
Engines are expected to continue without any drastic changes.
Ahead of its global premiere on July 4, 2015 (the first 1957 Fiat 500, and the current generation model were also revealed on July 4), Alvolante has spied the 2016 Fiat 500 (facelift) with its redesigned front and rear fascias. This is the first major cosmetic change for Fiat's city runabout since its introduction in 2007.
Up front, the 2016 500 gets LED headlights borrowed from the 500X, and the secondary pair of lights are redesigned to resemble modern iterations of the 500 series of vehicles (500X, 500L etc.). A mildly redesigned dual-slat chrome grille, and an all-new bumper with chrome highlights lend a fresh appearance to the Mini Cooper rival.
Changes at the rear are a lot more conservative. LED taillights and a redesigned bumper with a chrome element are the only differences. Inside, the urban runabout is reported to receive a 5-inch touchscreen UConnect infotainment system, new leather and fabric upholstery options, redesigned buttons for the power windows and chrome inserts in the steering wheel.
According to an earlier report, the front brakes of the 500 facelift will see some updates, but otherwise, the engines will carry on mostly unchanged. The 1.2-liter petrol and the 0.9-liter TwinAir turbocharged petrol are paired to 5-speed manual and Dualogic AMT gearboxes.

The Fiat 500 will be launched in India in the month of August this year, albeit in a performance-oriented Abarth 595 Competizione form. It remains to be seen if Fiat India also launches the regular 500 in the country though.
