Unveiled to the Indonesian public at the 2014 IIMS.
Initially, the Suzuki Celerio was slated to launch in 2014, after its local unveil at the 2014 Indonesian International Motor Show. However, since PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) couldn't decide on a final pricing of the Celerio, its launch was delayed.
Latest spyshots have surfaced from Indonesia which show the Celerio undergoing testing. This, to the Indonesian media, suggests that Suzuki have decided on a launch date for the hatchback as well as its pricing.
Unlike the Indian-spec model, the Indonesian Celerio features a Lexus-esque grille. The standard models will not feature the sporty body kit that was shown at the 2014 IIMS. Otherwise, it remains identical to the Indian counterpart. It measures 3,600 mm long, 1,600 mm wide, 1,560 mm tall and features a 2,425 mm wheelbase. The boot capacity is 235 liters and the turning radius is 4.7 m.
The Suzuki Celerio is powered by a K10B 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine delivering 68 bhp and 90 Nm. Another possible offering is the K10C 1.0-liter Dualjet (dual injector) engine, which claims to be more efficient than the K10B; the K10C returns 27.7 km/l while the K10B consumes 23.25 km/l (EU specification).
Other than the 5-speed manual offered, the Indonesian-spec model will offer a CVT gearbox or could even have the AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) equipped for the Indian model, launched recently on the Indonesian Wagon R.

PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) will reportedly source the car from the factory in Thailand, where the Euro-spec models are manufactured. It is expected to be launched in June, and will slot between the Suzuki Splash (or Ritz for the Indian market) and the Wagon R.
