Powered by a 1-litre K10B engine.
According to local reports, the Suzuki Celerio's launch in Indonesia has been delayed due to the inability of the company to decide a final pricing.
PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales's Davy J Tulian has told the media that not all dealers are convinced about the price positioning of the car between the Splash (Ritz) and Wagon R, which enjoys the Low Cost Green Car benefits.
While dealers wanted the car to be priced closer to the Wagon R (at the Rp 110 million/INR 5.48 lakhs mark), the company wanted to the price to start closer to the base Splash variants (at the Rp 150 million/INR 7.47 lakhs mark).
Last September, the new model was showcased at the 2014 Indonesia International Motor Show in a slightly accessorised form, with a larger, chrome grille, side skirts, bumper extensions, and a roof spoiler. In terms of dimensions, the Celerio measures 3,600 mm in length, 1,600 mm in width, and 1,560 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,425 mm, which enables a short turning radius of 4.7 m.
Much like the production version sold in India, the Celerio will be powered by a 1-litre K10B 3-cylinder petrol engine, when it goes on sale in Indonesia. The engine can produce a maximum power of 67 hp at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 90 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual and an automatic (either an AMT unit as seen on the Indian model or a CVT as seen on the Thai model).

The company can either source the car from Thailand or India, as it does with the Ertiga. However until SIS reaches a consensus with its dealers on the price of the car, the fate of the Suzuki Celerio in Indonesia remains undecided.
