By launching several new models nothing is going to change in Mahindra’s fortune unless they decide to concentrate one particular aspect of the consumer psychology! It could be price, safety, quality or design. For a small automaker it is critical that you define your strategy first and develop products later. Mahindra is trying to copy large automaker’s policy without much thought. Concentrate on one category and invest resources to be the world leader in that category. Unfortunately Mahindra has no clear vision to be the leader in any category other than make poor quality outdated products. It is time Mahindra concentrates on large or small rugged off-road type of vehicles and put enough resources to make it a world leader in that field, and sell these products in atlest 100 different countries. “Mahindra rise” but on what?

quality should be there focus area

    2. Chiragh says:

Quality is probably the only thing that Mahindra seems to be lagging. They have the resources, the technological prowess and the capability to churn out frugal products. But the quality is still far away. You are right about them being directionless particularly from the last 2-3 years. The failed launches like Quanto and Vibe were first signs of them losing it. Both of them were good concepts but shoddily executed. And the design direction too has taken a wrong turn. I think they have taken the criticism they have got for their overdone designs in their stride and sadly building on that. And if they are ignoring the Verito, I think that’s a big mistake. The Renault platform is a proven one regards, ride, handling and robustness. They need to inject some fresh life into it.

    3. Praveen says:

Mahindra Quanto is failed in Body Design & interior Design. New Launch of Mahindra Qanto also will fail if they are coming with same body Design.
Tata & Mahindra are repeating the mistakes. Both companies are not having New Generation Body Designers.
