Received a facelift in February this year.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) announced that the Activa once again became the best selling two-wheeler in the Indian market for the month of March 2015. Domestic sales of the scooter stood at 2,07,270 units in March, which also put it in the list of top 10 selling two-wheelers in India in financial year 14-15.
The Activa, Honda says, is the only automatic scooter in this list. Sales of Honda's best selling model increased by 30 percent last fiscal, while its segment grew by 25 percent (according to data by SIAM - Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers).
In February this year, HMSI launched the Activa 3G with new side panels, taillight, indicators and a new 3D logo. However, the mechanicals of the scooter were unaltered. It is powered by a single-cylinder 110 cc engine capable of 8 PS and 8.74 Nm of torque, paired to a CVT gearbox. Aided by HET (Honda Eco Technology), the scooter has a claimed efficiency of 60 km/l under internal tests. Two new colors were also inducted to the palette.
