Honda Cars India today announced that the Honda Amaze CNG is now available for an ex-showroom price of INR 599,585 (not including the INR 54,315 endorsement charge).
The new variant Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus (i-VTEC) is a modified petrol variant compatible for CNG fuel. The company says the reason for the launch is "to meet the needs of customers who are looking for an alternate fuel vehicle with high performance and low running cost."
The company-approved CNG kit will be installed on the 1.2 S MT Plus (1.2 i-VTEC engine) at Honda dealerships located in cities where CNG is dispensed. The CNG variant gets mechanical and electrical optimizations with different suspension setting, specific engine components to handle CNG, and specially prepared wiring harnesses. A 2-year standard warranty is offered.
