Gets a 1,141 liter boot with a 184 cm loading bay.
Following its premiere last month, the new 2015 Honda Shuttle has gone on sale in its home market with prices beginning at 1.69 million Yen and extending to 2.542 million Yen (INR 8.97 lakhs to INR 13.5 lakhs).
Based on the same platform as the new City/new Jazz, the Shuttle gets added practicality thanks to its estate dimensions, which offer cargo carrying space of 570 liters (1,141 liters with the rear seats folded). The 184 cm loading bay offers owners to carry long items, which will otherwise require a pickup truck.
The new Jazz Shuttle is offered with a petrol and a hybrid engine option. The petrol mill is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder direct-injection DOHC i-VTEC unit paired to a CVT gearbox, while the hybrid too is a 1.5-liter motor running on the Atkinson cycle, paired to Honda's i-DCD (dual-clutch) 7-speed transmission.
Paired to 2WD and 4WD, the most fuel efficient version of the Shuttle Hybrid returns an efficiency of 37 km/l in the Japanese JC08 driving cycle. Features on the estate include full LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment and HVAC controls, steering mounted controls, ABS, EBD and a raft of airbags to keep occupants safe.
