New Jazz expected to launch in the first half of this year.
Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) registered its highest ever monthly sales last month with sales of 22,696 units in the domestic market. This is a growth of 23 percent over March 2014, which saw the Japanese company selling 18,426 units.
The new City continued to lead with sales of 9,777 units, followed by the Amaze which sold 8,128 units. HCIL also announced that it had sold over 100,000 units of the new City which was launched in January 2014. Over the 15 months the sedan has been on sale, HCIL has sold 101,299 units, making it the most successful model for Honda in India.
HCIL also registered its highest ever domestic sales in a financial year, at 189,062 units. This is a 41 percent growth compared to the previous fiscal wherein the company sold 134,339 units. During this period, exports witnessed a growth of 45 percent at 8,403 units.
Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said that the company was "excited about the upcoming launch of Honda Jazz in the new fiscal and look forward to another year of good growth."

The new Jazz was supposed to have been introduced in the previous fiscal year, however, demand for existing products meant that HCIL could not allocate enough capacity. The Jazz, according to latest reports, will go on sale in the first half of this year.
