Unlikely to launch in India.
Ford unveiled the EcoSport S at the Geneva Motor Show last month. The EcoSport S is essentially an updated version of the compact crossover tailored to meet European tastes.
The exposed spare wheel for example is replaced with the registration plate enclosure for a more mature appearance, as the Europeans found the exposed wheel quite brash for their liking. Inside, Ford updated the EcoSport S with sound deadening materials for improved NVH, added a chrome surround for the instrument panel, chrome tips for the power window switches and relocated the handbrake lever.
Further, optional features such as heated windscreen, door mirrors and seats, and rear seat ducting to improve comfort levels were also included.

Ford India could be testing the EcoSport S for the European market, where sales will commence from June 2015. Apart from cosmetic changes, the EcoSport S gets a 10 mm reduction in ride height, a revised suspension setup and optimized ESC and power steering for better road holding capabilities. The EcoBoost and TDCI engines are announced to feature increased torque for better power delivery as well.
